Yeah that's a bold statement considering the thousands of other talented filmmakers looking for a big break.

But to the OP, good luck. Are you going to try to keep it real or portray Chicago as another South Central or Queensborough?

I will keep it real, It want be right if I don't, I will be make as if the film is whats going on in the inner city of Chicago today. Unless you have some suggestions....And yes I'm going to be famous..Just watch.

Ha! Good one!

To the OP, try Humboldt Park. There are still some "gritty" areas there with dirty looking streets and burnt out buildings. It's safer then some areas mentioned because of all the Police Cameras posted up high. Starbucks and the like haven't populated that whole area as far as I know so you can get the Urban "feel" that I think you're looking for.

Seriously how safe is the OP filming on Madison & Kedzie? I'd imagine safety concerns become an issue.

you know there will be alot of people around, and police, because you'll have to have a permit to shoot, and there will be crew members, and the people around the neigborhood will be in the film as background, or as filling in for whats in the script.
