My husband and I are moving to Chicago for the summer and we are looking to sublet a 2 bedroom apartment. We were wondering what the cost of sublets would be for the summer months. We found a place north of Wrigleyville and a couple blocks from the lake includes a parking spot and utilities. Would anyone know what the rent should be? Also we have a toddler and was wondering if that area is a "family friendly" area?

Any suggestions??

Thanks.

The cost of sublets is usually comparable to the regular apartment prices. Are you looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom? That area is nice, just make sure you aren't too close to Wrigley.

North of Wrigley and along the lake puts you in (from south to north) Buena Park, Uptown, Andersonville, Edgewater and Rogers Park. All of these neighbrhoods are fine, but can be a bit sketchy in certain parts (typically along Sheridan). Pricing can range between $900 - $1600, with a deal here or there. Your best bet may be the "sublets" section in Craigslist. Good luck!
