I must vent because I'm sick of this crap! This has inspired to me to carry two knives and Mace on me at all times. I never go out along after dark unless it's with friends. I need some advice.

I'm flattered when a man approached me in a respectful way. Unfortunately the only times I'm approached in a respectful way is when I'm in San Francisco, Miami or out of the country. I'm not saying that I haven't run into rude comments abroad, it's just not on such a grand scale.
My mother thinks I should get a gun, but that's a little scary for me.
I'm INTENTIONALLY ugly here unless I'm going out with friends. It's come to the point where if I see a group of men, I generally cross the street. Am I being too paranoid? Ugh!
