I have insomnia and it's driving me crazy, plus I can't seem to read because my mind is distracted.

I've been looking at some Pastors/Evangelicals on TV. I'd like to stay away from anyone that preaches in conflict with what the bible states.

So far, don't get upset, but in my opinion, although he's a good talker, Joel Osteen doesn't seem to stay on tract with what I am reading in the Bible. Then there is Benny somebody or other, he seems like a fraud.

I like Joyce Meyers, but not sure if she is on target.

Anyone have favorites: Mine are Dr. David Jeremiah, Dr. Tony Evans, and Pastor Melissa Scott . . . although she gets so technical.

Anyone else you guys can recommend? What do you think of the short stout preacher, forget his name, that talks alot about the end days and Israel, he seems good . . . this lack of sleep is making my brain dull and forgetful.

Be VERY careful with any televangelist. There are many frauds out there so trust your gut instinct. IMO Benny Hinn is most definitely a fraud! If you can't sleep and want to hear some good preaching I'd recommend you finding some good pastors who have online sermons. You want a life-changing message, we had a guest speaker this past Sunday who moved my wife and I almost to tears...and God moved in our hearts. Our senior pastor is an amazing speaker and so on track. Here is a link to my churches website and some of the audio sermons. I believe you will be blessed!

I believe it's Mr. Hagee (sp?) who is the short, stout end-times preacher. Only watched him once or twice so I don't have a firm opinion. As far as end-time prophecy/teaching goes, I watch Dr. Jack van Impe and his wife, Rexella. Others may not like him or agree with him, but I do. I watch him every Sunday, just to see what he's saying.

Other than that, I don't watch any -- not even the Hour of Power. I've heard only good things about Charles Stanley.

I think Charles Stanley is great, a real man of God who preaches what the Bible teaches.

Oh boy don't get me started

Here's my "professional" opinion. As always be very very careful!

Joel Osteen - avoid him like the hot Texas sun.

Benny Hinn - Ah, NO. That would be a huge NO. Can you say heretic?

Joyce Meyers - Ah, another Huge NO. I literaly feel like vomiting when a series of unfortunate events invades my eyes to see or hear her. In a word YUCK!

Dr. David Jeremiah - Not bad. Of course I have some doctrinal issues with him.

Dr. Tony Evans - Not bad. Of course I have some doctrinal issues with him.

Pastor Melissa Scott - Again another huge NO, make that a double NO NO. She was a porno star and has taken over a cult. I know because my wife was involved with the late Dr. Gene Scott believe me it is a cult. Stay away!

"What do you think of the short stout preacher, forget his name" That would be John Hagee from Cornerstone Church in SA Texas.

Let's see who else?

Dr. Jack van Impe and his wife Rexella - fake.

TBN? Crouch is in a law suit for homosexuality.

Anymore? well for me just about everyone on Christian TV.

Amen. Great movie! Claude Henry Smoot is awesome.

My favorite TV preacher is Jack Van Impe. That guy is a hoot! He's a total kook, but I've never detected a malicious bone in the man's body, and he's so enthusiastic about everything.

Charles Stanley
John Hagge
John Hagge's son (I think it's Matthew Hagge, caught him on the radio one day...not bad )
James Dobson
D. James Kennedy

Sometimes I like Joyce Myers, but she comes on a bit strong and asks for too much money...but her messages are pretty good!
