For example, Heb. 9:27, doesn't tell whether the judgement is without mercy or forgiveness. But, Daniel 12:2 seem to work okay, especially if you don't take into account certain translation arguments.

Daniel 12:2 ...

"And the multitude of those sleeping in the dust of the ground do awake, some to life age-during, and some to reproaches -- to abhorrence age-during."

This verse does nothing to promote the idea that salvation is only available before one dies. The resurrection of the wicked to contempt or shame or abhorrence is not specific. The wages of sin is death, the fact that they are resurrected to begin with shows that the sacrifice of Christ for their sin has been accepted, or else they would simply remain dead for ever. That is what it means that Christ IS the resurrection and the life. Judgment is not about returning evil for evil, it is about teaching righteousness and about remedying the carnal nature. The shame that shall be experienced by those who suffer loss because of the trial by fire, which is the lake of fire judgment, is no different that he shame we experience now when we realize that we are wrong. Learning the truth causes one to be ashamed at themselves for having been ignorant and or unaware of the truth. Especially when one had reviled the truth all along.

Peace ...

To the contrary. You continually try to isolate scripture from other scripture instead of taking the scriptures as a whole. First of all, the resurrection of the wicked to disgrace and everlasting comtempt is in direct contrast to those who are resurrected to everlasting life. And as it clearly states in Revelation 20:11-15, those who were in hades and have been resurrected are standing before the Great White Throne Judgment and are to be cast into the lake of fire.

The wages of sin is death. This includes both physical death and spiritual death. Death refers not to cessation of existance, but to separation. In physical death, the soul simply separates from the body and for the believer goes into the presence of the Lord (2 Cor. 5:8), and for the unbeliever, his soul goes into hades. (Luke 16:19-31; Revelation 20:13).

Jesus died for everyone's sins. Sin therefore is not the issue in salvation. The issue is receiving Christ as Savior and thereby receiving eternal life, or rejecting Christ and remaining under eternal condemnation.

The great white Throne judgment for unbelievers is not the judgment seat of Christ which is for believers. They are two separate judgments that occur over a thousand years apart.

The lake of fire is not a trial by fire by which one may come to salvation. The lake of fire is the place that was prepared for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41). The lake of fire is the place where all who have rejected Christ as Savior will spend eternity (Matthew 25:46). Not that asinine age-during claptrap that universalists would have it mean, but eternity. The lake of fire is where the devil as well as the beast (anti-christ) and the false prophet will be tormented day and night (an idiom which means without ceasing) forever and ever.

Those who die without Christ remain under the eternal condemnation with which they were born into the world (John 3:18).

Those who die without Christ shall not see life (John 3:36) - not a cessation of existence, but eternal ruin and uselessness in torment in the lake of fire.
