I am curious to the opinions of the readers here, is it our duty as Christians to support, protect, defend and elect politicians who will do the same for the state of Israel.

I believe so, but I know there are many who disagree.

How do you describe or define, Israel (IS-RA-EL)?

"A sanctimonious belief system, predicated on Religiosity?"

(Disclaimer: I do not support anti-semitism of any kind.)

Yes Lord Jesus has a plan for Israel , so believers should hold up Israel in their prayers and all conversation of support so they will not go against the plan of God ..... The only prophecies that I have heard is there is an anointing oil for the people of Israel by faith of Jesus in the plan of God , and the prophecy that the Nation of Israel is a witness for Jesus ....... And since Jews and Christians are hated by the devil and the children of the devil , God sees the heart of those who support these people ..... Many in Europe and liberal who hate nations who defend them selves do not like Jew and there has being a falling away from Christ , so it is best to not be one with those of the world , but rather be ambassador of Christ

I describe Israel as the state or country in the present, whatever you wish to call it. Should we (christians) support our government's involvement in their security, financial aid, military aid ect...

No. Praying is good enough. Christians need to focus on the afterlife but give the devil his due.

Nope. It would be silly to think that we could. By "our" do you mean as Christians or as Americans? These two are not the same. A Christians' duty is but to follow Christ who did not pick up a sword to protect Israel when he lived as one of them under the rule of the oppressive Roman Empire.

Yes. Absolutely. He -- G-d -- fought for the Land to be Israel's. The Land was given to Israel by G-d as a permanent possession. If G-d said it, who are we to not back Him up? The Land belongs to G-d. Jerusalem is the city of His Presence, no matter what it looks like now. The Temple will be raised there again, and if any nation does not support the Land, they will not have rain.

You could be amazed at how far along the people of Israel are toward building the Temple and its elements.

Furthermore, it is the Land of our Messiah. What happens when we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, as the Bible instructs? There will be no peace in the Land until Messiah comes, so when you pray for her peace, you are praying for Messiah's coming.

Israel has done its job supporting the U.S. The only reason not to support Israel is if one seriously would like to see this tiny area, less than the size of New Jersey, be demolished -- go into ruin. She has the right to exist and flourish under the rule of those to whom G-d gave her.

Yes, I support the Land of Israel! Not to support her is to raise a fist in the face of G-d.

~ The name 'Israel' means one who wrestles with God and wins.

Israel has always wrestled with God.

Israel wrestled with Jesus and won; Congrads?

Israel is still wrestling with God.

- There is only ONE Land-Mass on earth
which God Said He Himself entered into a Covenant with.
And it's only The Land-Mass of The City Jerusalem. - Ez.16:8

Although God Said He is still married to Israel. - Jer.3:14
God did Certify Israel's Divorce away from Him. - Jer.3:8

God destroyed 7 Nations giving the children of Israel tribal Land.
Lev.25:38 - Acts 13:19

These 7 Nations have always wanted their Land back.
Which I believe could be The Beast 0f 7 heads.
Which the dragon/satan gives his Throne to. - Rev.13

Anyway, God said that it was through His Splender
that He Crowned Jerusalem with Royalty. - Ez.16:12-14

But Jerusalem Trusts Her own fame, in the Beauty of Him, as The Harlot.
Jer.16:15

God said, He will give
Jerusalem's Harlot Sisters to her as her own daughters. - Ez.16:61
Making Jerusalem The Mother 0f Harlots. - Rev.17:5

- So it was The City Jerusalem which
boke The Land Covenant of God's presence with Harlotry. - Ez.16:59

- And The Children 0f Israel who
commited Adultry for their Certificate 0f Divorce away from God. - Jer.3:8
