The Columbus Dispatch ran the following story.
Dog receives communion wafer from priest during service | The Columbus Dispatch

In the article's last paragraph one congregant's comments were enlightening of many of today's Christians thought process.

Is communion for all God's creatures?

Women have been priests for a very short time. Lets give her some slack.

Or maybe she got ordained with improper training in the name of equality.

Exactly. I don't think anybody in this world loves animals more than I so, and I am convinced that animals so have a soul and will be resurrected. But to imply that this was "spiritual nourishment" for the dog (as the article stated) is absolute nonsense.
