Another verse I don't see often if ever. All over people are trying to walk in the footsteps of Jesus until He
gets to the sea, then it gets difficult. Most of us can't walk on water or do what He did. He came in His earthly ministry on a mission to the Jews and the cross. He was the author of the law and taught the law. The body of Christ is not under the law today, being under grace now we have the Holy Spirit to guide and help us, plus the fact Jesus returned to heaven in the AD30's. Paul under the inspiration of the Spirit offers himself as an example we can follow as he follows Christ.............maybe something to consider..............

1Co 11:1 Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.

1Co 4:15 For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers. For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
1Co 4:16 I urge you, then, be imitators of me.
1Co 4:17 That is why I sent you Timothy, my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, to remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach them everywhere in every church.

Paul was an apostle appointed by Jesus himself and therefore has delegated authority from Jesus. There is no conflict between what Jesus and Paul taught.

Should lean to Jesus but still believe the revelation By Holy Spirit through Paul..... See Jesus had gifts through Paul of prophecies, Apostle, miracles, deliverances, and teacher by the Holy Spirit. Then Paul had many churches which He helped create, but only one church helped Him financially...... These scriptures in 1 Corinthians where at a time when Paul was starting out as He had plenty of confidence and pride, whereas Paul grew in the Lord He lost the pride and did not even like himself in His later days ...... And many of the confusion of difference between Jesus and Paul came through the Corinthians scripture, as these people were a carnal group, and Paul played along

You say that Jesus returned to heaven in the AD30's. There are many Greek words that can be translated to mean "RETURN," but the Greek ἀναβαίνω (anabaino) which is correctly translated as “ASCEND” is not one of them.

Can you please reveal, where in scripture does it say that Jesus 'RETURNED' to heaven?

There have been no discrepancies in the Bible for all of historic Christianity. The Holy Spirit should be your guide.

Absolutely false! it is riddled with contradictions, inconsistencies, and just plain superstitious nonsense. But it DOES contain inspirations from God if you test the Spirit of what is claimed.

Amen. It is what you should be using to test the Spirit of what is claimed to be from God or Jesus in the Bible instead of blindly accepting everything in there.

In Ephesians 4:10 Paul states that ''the one having descended (Jesus) is himself also the one having ascended above all the heavens so that he might fill all things.''

Jesus first descended, followed by his ascension. That statement is a statement of his return to heaven.

Well, actually there are, but most of the discrepancies can be explained. There's no need deny the fact that the Bible does have difficult passages that conflict. To give one discrepancy, in Genesis chapter one animals are created before man. But in Genesis chapter two, man is created before the animals.
