My dad was a deadbeat dad and he remarried and took care of a child by his new marriage. He left my sisters and me behind and now that I think of it, maybe it was for the best. But he did not provide for us. The sad thing is that he was a very well respected deacon in his church and everybody always sang his praises because of his musical talents and because he was a deacon. They never knew what he was really about. I pray for him and still love him but I feel sorry for him. He missed out on raising 3 precious little girls. God bless.
I believe there is reconciliation coming for all, with their earthly fathers, praise God. There must be! God is going to heal every hurt, bitterness, rejection, and pain of this life. Hallelujah!
Some dads are dead beat not of their own choice. Alot more moms are taking kids away from dad these days and the courts give dad no choice in the matter. After the gavel strikes, life goes on and days turn into weeks and dad finds a new woman.
Thats just the way it goes. Women have most of the power in this dynamic.

Many times it is the women who are saddled with the responsibility. My daughter and her EX went before a court appointed arbitrator. Her EX agreed to pay 1/2 her attorney's fees and 1/2 the cost of the delivery of the child, to attend a state recognized substance abuse program and to pay my daughter $500.00 a month in child support. He never paid her any of the attorney's fees or anything on the hospital bill. He never showed up for his substance abuse class. He paid about five months of child support and lost his job. He met another woman and married her and now they have gotten a divorce. They had a child together and I assume he has agreed to pay her child support as well.
Anyway, my daughter has contacted the courts and they say she will have to bring suit against her Ex again in order for them to enforce the court orders he has already agreed to and failed to adhere. The courts suck. They are there only to make money for the lawyers and generate revenues for the state.

Shana sorry about your dad but love your positive attitude and respect your love for your father as most kids would have a tall resentment for someone who left out and didn't return. God knows the true heart of an individual and I would say there are times your dad thinks about you and your siblings and knows what a big mistake he made.
