We hear about Christian missionaries being killed and they are usually depicted as heroes or martyrs for their faith.
But what is heroic about this?
They are entering a foreign tribe and telling the people that their souls will be damned for all eternity if they don't listen to their message and accept it.
I tried reading the book written by one of these missionary's widows once, and nothing she said seemed to make sense. I think that it would be some kind of hell to be around people like this. Imagine living a peaceful life in a foreign land, and then hearing a message from this type of seemingly insane person who was insistent in their message and would not leave the people alone. A message that was sure to cause disruption and unease with many people. Friends and family alike.
There just seems to be something wrong in the minds of missionaries. Many of them are very young people who have simply been trained and taught a certain belief system, and are acting based on that. They have no clue what they are talking about. I could not trust these people. How do so many Christians feel that they are heroes? What could be more twisted than that.
How can these people possibly think that they can speak for an infinite God, especially with their specific and narrow view?

One issue, and I suspect some don't realize this, is that in some areas they put the people they talk to in danger with the rest of the population.
That's the power of indoctrinating children from birth.
Tell them that everyone who isn't a True Christian is going to hell unless they "save" them.
"Give me a child until he is seven, and I will give you the man." --St. Francis Xavier
