How does an evangelical interpret this chapter? It seems to be saying that words on a page lose their glory, and begin fading the very moment they are written down. From that second onward.
Just like the glory on Moses' face began fading from the moment it appeared, the glory found on any written pages fades from the moment it is first written down by its original author.
How do you say that the word of God can be literal, since it contradicts this chapter?
The gospel so much exceeds the law, that it eclipses the glory of the legal dispensation. But even the New Testament will be a killing letter, if shown as a mere system or form, and without dependence on God the Holy Spirit, to give it a quickening power.

And it has proven to be a killing letter by evangelicals for the last 1800 years.

I just posted an answer to your question in another thread.
Yet contarily to the Holy Spirit you ask what you should already know if you are a steward.

12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

You are assuming the bible is the word . Here you are saying it is alive and active, in your previous post you said that it being quickened(made alive) is dependent on the holy spirit.
