You mean there's more to Christianity besides 'agape loving everything' including carcinoma?

Why do you mock agape love when it is so central to Christ's Gospel and His revelation that it is the TRUE NATURE of God? He suffered brutal barbarity, scourging, and crucifixion to unambiguously demonstrate God's true nature. He didn't smite anyone and He LOVED His torturers and murderers. Why do you ignore such overwhelming evidence and cling to the ancient ignorance and superstitions of our primitive ancestors' beliefs about a wrathful God who needed blood sacrifices to appease Him????

You continue to confuse agape love with hedonism.
Are for as the bold portion of your post, it's just silly and undeserved of any response.

There is no hedonism in agape love, not remotely! Agape embodies a concern for the well-being and interests of everyone involved.

Christianity is so much deeper than it's modernist rendering of "peace, love, and anti-racism." The love of God and the love of Christ are vastly different than the "love" that modernist Christianity spews. Christ took pity on the sinners, but told them to "go and sin no more." Modern Christianity tells the sinner, "you are perfect just the way you are and Jesus loves you no matter what." This is simply false, it is a false religion and it is completely empty and devoid of any meaning. Don't mistake the sweet, syrupy sentimentalism of today for the actual message of the Cross.

The Way of the Cross requires a radical emptying of one's self and an openness to the Holy Spirit. It is about renouncing yourself, renouncing your sins, and "picking up your cross and" following Christ. It's a dangerous and difficult path. It is spiritual combat every single day. We are the "Church Militant" for a reason, not the "Church of peace and love!"

If you walk into a church and it looks, sounds, and feels like the world at large you are in a church that is spiritually dead. Christ came bringing a sword, the Way of the Cross is divisive and at odds with non-stop materialism and hedonism of the world.
