Back to the OP. If you guys cared even half as much about things like porn addiction, adultery, and divorce as you care about keeping homosexuals a step below you, you might be taken more seriously.
I sorry I referring to fellow Christians in Churches and not referring to non Christians outside the churches. If you look at the link there is very little if any reference to non Christians. What people do outside the church is where I leave it to God.
Uh, given the number of contentious posts that have had to be deleted, just a "June reminder" to KEEP IT CIVIL, and address the OP, as opposed to squabbling with one another. It ruins threads, and results in them otherwise getting closed down. (Which June hates having to do!)
So everyone "play nice" and keep it that way, okay?

People are viewing porn in CHURCH!? Now that is extra addicted.
Point is, you care more about that kind of stuff than you do porn addiction, which is indeed what this thread is about. So, why don't you worry about that addiction, and stop worrying about the gays? Why is porn addiction and viewership so much higher in religious areas? Can you explain that?
Absolutely not true. The porn industry, the ease with which hardcore porn is now available, the dehumanizing effects of porn, and the destructive effects of porn addiction on individuals and relationships are MASSIVE problems. They (and abortion, but don't get me started) loom far larger on my radar screen than does homosexuality. I didn't send this thread off on its homosexual tangent; I merely weighed in after that tangent was well-established. My posts are lightning rods for reasons that I fully understand. If you will look at my first post on these thread, you will see that I did in fact offer my views as to why porn may be a bigger problem within the Christian community than in other areas.
Ask any good poker player - everybody has a "tell."
Florid grandiosity is (one of) yours.
Recognizing such is part of what made me such a good moderator for so many years. (Though I've pretty much given up playing poker.)
I'm not sure what exceedingly clever point you think you are making. I write all day, every day - legal briefs, fiction, nonfiction, you name it. Occasionally I even crank out a post. Some people can hit golf balls 340 yards; I happen to be extremely articulate. If it bothers you, that's your problem.

Ok, I went back and looked at your first post. You seem to think Christians are under more pressure not to do these things, so when they do fail, they fail hard. While I can see where you are coming from, I don't really buy it. If you truly buy into your religion, you should find peace in not doing "bad" things. It shouldn't make it more difficult.
Everyone, Christian or not, faces the same temptations. Religion shouldn't make facing them harder. The same can be said for alcohol addiction, or anything else. If I am misunderstanding, then let me know.

This is real. I had the same issues as I watched that stuff when I came to Christ, and continued to be addicted for a time afterwards. I will always have that struggle as long as I am on the earth just because it's a weakness for me and I gave in to it for so long. Thankfully I have never had a temptation to cheat (physically) on Mrs. DRob... it was just a bad habit.
Being a Christian is not about absolute perfection. Christ takes us as we are with the goal of having our life reflect His life. That means we are going to mess up and sin along the way as we grow. The important thing is what Christ does for me on an eternal basis.
I don't get it. Druggies say that when they accepted Jesus they were immediately cured of their addiction and that includes no physical withdrawal from the drug.
The main issue with the OP'S thread is that we take our eyes off God when we look at porn. It is saying porn is more important than you are God and is number one. Christians who do this know better but are addicted to this evil force and subsequently will turn to having extra-marital affairs, it is a downward spiral out of control and if they don't turn back to God will eventually turn to worse things. We are all sinners and need a Savior, yes Christians do fall back, no big surprise but hopefully they can get back up before it is too late.
And according to Jesus' words, lusting for other women is ADULTERY. There I said it. Will adulterers enter the Kingdom of God? You may all answer that for yourselves quietly. But on judgement day, which would be worse - to be guilty of Adultery. Or to be a self-righteous hypocrite guilty of Adultery? Think it over and keep it between yourself and God, PLEASE!
