when joining a church why do they need to know my place of birth ? (Christ, God)

why does one join a church? Isn't attendance enough?

As for place of birth, like most applications, I think they want to know if you have moved around and how far from your point of origin?

I was born in the midst of winter, but summer resides within me.
In other words, the time and place is irrelevant to who I am.

Just put on the place of birth the location were you lived when you got born again in the spirit of Christ , as nothing else matter to God about what happened before that .......

the only other application where i needed to provide place of birth was for my passport.

just being cautious about identity theft.

I think the have a database that they keep track of everything. They need the people to fill applications so they can show they are growing in #s

If you are not satisfied with the terms now - probably an indicator that you will not like something else later.

I guess you will have to do decide if you like how Christ is presented, and how He works in the body - and if it is worth the hassle.
