There is much more to it and the same Word that became the flesh (aka soul that is mind will and emotions of a person )of Jesus can become the flesh of any person providing they learn the truth within the Word of God that paves the way for Christ to be formed inn them
All that love you talk about is good but it does not give a new life to someone who has lived their life in sin

Obviously he does not believe it was love that brought him to faith. We know from the bible he says??? he believes in that Jesus consistently taught to love one another, to love our neighbor but not only to love him but to love our neighbor as our self, that faith expresses itself through love, that we are called to be rooted and established in love, that love is the greatest, when a man is thoroughly complete he lives in faith, hope and love of which love is the greatest, and everyone that loves is born of God and that to love our neighbor as our self is the fulfillment of the law of life.
Bible fundamentalists because they know sin better than the love God interpret the scriptures by it. The message of the gospel was never about sin(missing the mark) but the answer to it....... which is to know the love of God.
This statement reflects just how empty of the truth and ignorant you are concerning the things of God. You are a perfect example of why God said His people would be destroyed for lack of knowledge
A new Spirit from God is the only source for a new life will pave the way for a person who has lived a life of sin under the directions of their former father and king the devil to turn away from him, become holy and live their lives unto God.

And perhaps when he speaks of "getting the Holy Spirit" being necessary, rather than love, he forgets that he is speaking of the spirit of the God who IS love?
God is much more than love alone and you need to learn why this is so
God is the creator of all things and this includes evil.

IF God IS love, then nothing else that is true of God can contradict that. Do you believe that God is love?

In fact I actually believe this in general is what happens to all us within weeks of entering the doors of bible based churches, we get weighed down by the doctrines of sin and how awful in the flesh we are instead of being uplifted and established in the love of God and how he really sees us in Christ, which in reality Christ is the true identity of all us.
The communication of our faith becomes effective not by seeing what we are in the flesh but by the acknowledging of every good thing that is in us that is in Christ.

Persons focussed only on love but overlook truth are the cause of sin in the church that results in God turning His back on the church such as not answering their prayers to heal those in need of a miracle
