Pious Catholic historian and author Bishop Frotheringham extended this summary of Christian leaders up to his time:
"Many of the popes were men of the most abandoned lives. Some were magicians (occultists); others were noted for sedition, war, slaughter and profligacy of manners, for avarice and simony. Others were not even members of Christ, but the basest of criminals and enemies of all godliness. Some were children of their father, the Devil; most were men of blood; some were not even priests. Others were heretics. If the pope be a heretic, he is ipso facto no pope."

A supreme authority over the western nations of the world , where if a nation were to leave then it could be condemned to the devil , so the faith turned to a militant ideas and arrogant corruption from the 900 AD to the 1570 AD , with the blessing of nations supporting the Protestant reformation , and then the Catholic Reformation brought change were we have the Catholic church government we have today ..................So there was a dark time in history were we can kick them down for their history and never forget like the liberal men , or we can move on as Jesus has His great commission for the church

How is it that we can condemn the despots of history, the warlords, the men who formed governments, reduced borders for financial gain only, and yet when it come to the debauchery of religion, the establishment of the dark ages, where Christianity was suppressed, where blood was spilled in some name or the other, and where there was no thought of the Gospels of Jesus, only the thought of world power, how is it that some will say, "They were only trying to bring Christianity to the world".

When you look at the dogma of the beginning of the religious dark ages, and the religions of today that call themselves Christian, you will see that they are similar in false teachings. There is some political differences, but usually they have the same mind on the trinity, pagan festivals and rites and the general corruption of the Word of God.

No one should try to shed the shame of the religious machinations, no one should say they were trying to do the right thing, as the history shows that that was not in the concept of the early Neo-Roman power mongers.

When people clear the haze from their eyes, and get to realize that Satan, the opposer, the inventor of the lie is controlling these religions of Christendom, and the nations of the world, then there might be some resistance to the reasons of why the world is in such a mess.

How can one stay involved in religion with such a history as shown and say, "Let's move on.". The word should be "Let's move out".

And your suggested solution is to exchange being in bondage to one set of religious dogma, machinations, and men for being in bondage to another set.

1.) While the word 'Trinity' is not found in the Bible, the Trinity is a Biblical concept.

2.) I like my Pagan festivals, i.e., Christmas and Easter.

3.) I adore the Easter bunny.

Meet the Easter bunny.

4.) This forum has rules against bashing other religions and denominations (although apparently it's okay to bash fundamentalists. I am a fundamentalist by the way.) and . . . so . . .but . . . therefore.

alright Mike---my kind of Easter "bunny"---sweeter than the candy in the basket she holds no doubt, LOL.

seriously, as has been hashed and rehashed all too often in the past, Christians who SERIOUSLY observe the (so-called) "pagan" holidays are generally ALL about remembering and celebrating the birth of Christ our Savior (Christmas/"CHRIST-mass") to start the work of our salvation and His sacrificial death on the "cross"/"stake"/what have you for the sins of the world combined WITH His triumphant victory over sin and death in His glorious resurrection ("Easter" in English but "Pascha"/Passover in most non-Germanic languages) to complete that work.

Christmas gift giving, Christmas decorations, Easter baskets, and even Easter bunnies (of whatever type) are NOT part of the religious observation and no intelligent or sincere Christian really thinks that they are----just some fun for the young and young at heart AFTER they have recognized, remembered, observed, and then lived their lives in joy (also faith, hope, and charity) according the TRUE meaning of the "holidays" (= HOLY days).

in the peace of Christ.

Putting forth a critique or argument of negative history is not considered getting 'picked on'. The statement either has validity or it doesn't. And honestly with the amount of negative and sometimes downright evil truth of the Catholic Church's history, they should accept any criticism thrown at them.

Obviously, OP, the answer is you pick on another's religion since you've made post after post trying to stick it to the Catholics. If the JW's have a department called, "Office of Anti-Catholic Propaganda" you should apply for a job.

It's a psychological phenom the internet has dubbed The Streisand effect. When a person figures out they have been lied to and information covered up they have the urge to spread that information to others.
It's why you are dedicated to exposing the Catholic church and why I am so compelled to expose the Watchtower.
