.... to check the "Presidential Elections 2008" sub-forum under the "Politics" (link here: http://www.city-data.com/forum/2008-...tial-election/ ) so you, as Christians, may understand what kind of horrible things the liberals/athiests in this forum are saying about VP Candidate Sarah Palin's CHRISTIAN FAITH, making fun of the fact that she "prays for good things" and "prays for her son's safety in Iraq"? Are Christians not to pray?? Is it reason to be mocked that we pray??? I say it is not. Jesus prayed often. And so should we. So WHY should Sarah Palin or any other Christian be mocked and called names like "jesus Freak" or "idiot nutcase" or whatever for doing what Christ commanded us to do???

Christians need to be made aware of the disgustingly nasty things they are saying about fellow Christians, like Palin. She is a devout Christian who prays and belives God has PURPOSE for all things, as it says in Romans 8:28. My friends, this is more than an attack on Palin - it is an attack on our faith in Christ.

My fellow Christians, We believe in prayer, we believe in the value of life, we believe that God has a purpose. This shouldn't be m,ocked. Instead, we should follow 2 Timothy 4:2 which tells us to preach, rebuke, and encourage with patience and kindness. But we must NOT stay quiet about this.

So I ask you to stand up for the smear attacks against our Christian faith. Even if you do not agree with Sarah Palin as a candidate, you can still stand up to the nastiness being thrown on our Faith, the Christian faith.

Why? Because we are all ONE in the Body of Christ. When one of us suffers, we all suffer. And the Body of Christ rejoices, we all rejoice,

"If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. " 1 Corinthians 12:26-27

That is why I ugre to SPEAK UP, when people trash the Christian faith, Be polite, but be firm. If you are a Christian and dislikes what you see people mock prayer and even mock Palin for praying, SPEAK UP. Stand up for Christ, unlike Peter didn't and fail. Let us not fail Christ for not standing up to the attackers.

Thanks you.

Respectfully submitted,

Fun2Day

Thanks,
But we have already been put on notice, by the word of God, and what happened to Jesus Christ, should we expect any fairer treatment;
God forbid;
Vengeance is mine says the Lord;
He also promised that He would Bless those who bless us and curse those who curse us
God Bless You

I've just learned to completely and totally ignore anything an atheist says, regardless of how "nicely" it's put. Nothing posted by them surprises me in the least. In fact, that they engage in such attacks at all just shows how low they stoop. So I refuse to stoop to that level.

Just as Jesus said.....the world will hate you because of me. It is His presence that shines from the saints which causes the world to feel guilty and condemned.

After seeing the horrible cartoon posted in the Washington Post, I felt led to begin praying for Gov Palin not because she is a candidate, but because she is a sister in the Lord who is being openly and cruelly persecuted.

I understand how you must feel repulsed (as I do) by some of the anti-Christian comments made against Palin (and really, against Christians as a whole - if you watch some of the mockery directed at Palin for praying, etc - things that we Christians do).

But at the same time, if I don't take some time a couple times per week to address some of such comments/anti-Christian atatcks, won't they seem that everyone agrees that "Palin is crazy for praying, for thinking God has a bigger plan"?

I think one of the goals of this thread is to get people to not only pray for Palin, but also to drop a quick line when you see someone outrageously anti-Christian on the Politics thread. Yes, I am a Christian-Political junkie, but I see the damage and INTIMIDATION that Christian voters face. And that is why I post. Oh and actually voting for Palin, a fellow Christian, in Nov won't hurt either.

Don't let the liberal media make you think for a second that "religion and politics" don't mix and the false "Constitutional separation of church and state", which is nowhere in the Constitution. That is a tool they have used to intimidate Christians from running for office and from voting!

Moderation on the POlitical forum has been VERY lax. People say outrages, you report, a week later, it's still there. And then with a few worst attacks afterwards.

Really, what we need in more Christians posting and not allowing the anti-Christians from seeming like "a consensus" in the forum.

There is NO doubt in most Christian's minds (I am talking the real deal, not the "Sunday-only Christians" - Christians on Sunday only, no real Christian behavior daily, no talk of Christ until Sunday morning....or the "Feel Good Christians" where everything goes, including things explicitly forbidden in the Bible, like gay marriage, etc) that the world has become very hostile to Christians.

In Europe, Christianiaty (all religions, really) have been banned from the public place, from the workplace, churches have very limited free speech under "tolerance laws".... Same is happening in the USA. If American Christians don't wake up NOW, in 10 years, we will see Pastors getting arrested for speaking up on homosexuality, gay marriage, abortion, etc under anti-Christainity laws disguised as "hate speech laws". We almost had it happen in 2007, if it was't for Bush, they would have been law now.

Pray for Palin, not just as a fellow Christian, but for the Christians of America to wak up and VOTE the issues, not the candidate. Because if Christians do that, the right people will get in.

I mean, does ANYONE think Sarah Palin is being treated fairly, specially when it comes to her Christian faith???

I am serious, I have never, seen or heard of any candidate for office being attacked PEROSNALLY on this level. If she loses, Sarah Palin, should become a martyr of the Liberal media.

Not even BUSH (the liberal's most hated man) has gotten so much nastiness from the media in 7 days!!

It's only been 7 days since she was nominated and the attacks get worst by the day!

Hmmm, that's too bad.

The mods on this forum are very strict, maybe they can go help out on the political arena for a bit.
