I do not see them trying to make a CTS-V with that much HP, and I would suspect the current CTS-V would beat this car at the 'Ring.
Besides, it is up to Chevy to "answer" a Dodge. I imagine a hotter SS is being considered.
A. 90% of American HP buyers have no idea what "the ring" is or means.....
B. CTS-V just wants to be competitive with the Euro-hot rods
C. Hotter SS, they can't sell the model they offer now for 45K so not sure they want to make it more expensive, further limiting sales.
Sorry, posted a pic of my house accidentally. This is my buddy's supercharged Challenger that he drives daily. Took a pic of the engine at a Cars & Coffee earlier this year. He's been posting on FB about "his" Hellcat in lime green, so I thought he had gotten it already. When he does get it, I'll post more about it.
Enough is good,
More is better,
Too much is just about right!
We Yankees are just as Americun as anybody from straight toad county and few of our roads are straight or level for very long. That thing sounds like fun on a gravel road through the woods.
Truth be told, that kind of power doesn't belong in a car like the modern Challenger either but these cars aren't exactly about being reasonable. The only thing I could really do with either car would be to tell people that it has 707hp. Could I put that down around a corner? Nope.
Who needs a corner when your face is being flattened by acceleration? If you want power and corners, you buy a Vette or a Viper. Heck, even a Focus ST for that matter.
Too late. Sold that for an almost new in the wrapper GNX about 10 yrs ago.
