The claimed power numbers are huge for this size engine, hemi V8 levels. I’ve been a fan of inline 6 engines because of their durability and linear power delivery. I understand the need for aluminum block for weight saving but I hope it doesn’t sacrifice durability and reliability.

I have a 3.0L twin turbo inline 6 engine in my BMW X5 and I think that's an awesome engine. The engine advantage of this configuration was a significant factor in deciding on the BMW over getting a Jeep GC.
