I somehow thought Landen was part of the Mason district. My cousin and his children live in Landen and I thought his oldest son went to Mason High. Maybe I'm wrong.

At any rate, I won't discourage anyone from living in that part of Warren county. It is indeed a very nice area - very scenic!

We are also moving to the area this spring, and I was wondering if your family has made a decision yet. My husbands colleagues have overwhelmingly steered us towards Lakota schools, is that what you have decided? I don't want to limit our search if there are other great school districts. Our price range is between 200000-240000. Let me know!! thanks!!

You should consider Wyoming. It is a burb in the city. A great school distric and a very welcoming area with many activities. Lots of social groups for adults and kids

Default moving

Depending on where you are working, if you are really serious about schools, you should look at Terrace Park/Mariemont, and even Fairfax depending on budget. You can't beat the schools or the neighborhoods. I am partial to TP because you can walk to school and the kids can ride their bikes everywhere, but all are very nice.

Really? Are we thinking of the same place? Wealthy Terrace Park, adjacent to Indian Hill?

According to the following link, very few violent crimes occur there:

Uniform Crime Reports of Terrace Park and Index from 1985 to 2005

Of course, just last month there was a murder-suicide involving a sick, elderly couple. Maybe that spiked the statistics?

If you are going to move here and you are looking for a home in the $200,000-250,00 range...look into Mariemont. Mariemont was rated as one of the 10 best neighborhoods in the country. It was the only one to break the ranks in OH. The school district is very very good. Blue Ribbon awards every year. The HS is only about 550 students (and it is public)...and it offers a lot of programs. For elementary schools...you cannot beat the ones around here. Mariemont Elementary is a very good choice. There is also another one called Terrace Park about 5 minutes away (it is part of the mariemont district). It is very safe here...abuot 15 minutes from the city..there are small shops and restaurants in the neighborhood and kids seem to really enjoy it. The biggest issue people ahve here are the higher property taxes...but if you can afford it, its not so bad.if you have any questions, PM me.
