Thought I would share a couple of links to a truly unique Jazz venue that is one of a kind.

The building is awesome, though in need of a good pressure washing from all the pollution from Vine Street over the years. A guitarist who lives around the corner from me plays there every Saturday night. He played the Chicago blues circuit for 18 years and is very well rounded.

It is a unique building. Thanks for pointing out how it is being used. A definite plus for the neighborhood.

I love that building to bits, but Lawd is that corner sketchy.

I have not been but have always wanted to go. Is there a good night to go?

I always like going to the Blue Wisp on big band night. Really good time.

That reminds me. I haven't been to the Greenwich in years. Has anyone been there lately?

Nothing happening on that corner, except a jazz club.

They have a buffet on Tuesday, and I hear it's good. But otherwise, one night is as good as another. Be sure to check their schedule because they aren't open every night.

Yeah I go to the Greenwhich fairly regularly. The new Blue Wisp is location #4 and is much better than #3. I never went to #1 but #2 was fantastic, in the basement of what is now LPK on Piatt Park. It was a tiny space that I'm sure they rented for way under $1,000/mo.

I haven't been to Schwartz's point, which is pathetic since I live within walking distance. The corner isn't dangerous at all, I hardly see anyone loitering there. I also catch the bus at that corner and in an amazing coincidence ride the same bus in the morning as one of the bartenders from The Greenwhich.
