Any Good Antique Shops In The Area? (Cincinnati, Fairfield: best, place)

Any good antique shops in the Greater Cincinnati area? I've been to a few in Cincinnati, Milford, and Lebanon but was wondering if there were good ones that member of this board could suggest.

Waynesville is a little past Lebanon on US 42. It is considered to be the local "antiques capital".

The Ohio Valley Antique Mall on Route 4 in Fairfield (just north of Cresentville Rd.) is massive. Also, there is a place in Venice out near Harrison.

Waynesville definitely. You just need to know your items and how to authenticate they are what is being represented.

Some of the so-called antique malls would be better labeled junk not very cheap.

I'll be the third to endorse Waynesville -- it depends on what you're looking for of course.

There are several shops in Lebanon, but not many offer the higher-end items. A lot of depression era stuff, some primitives. One shop carries some significantly finer items.

In Waynesville there are a larger number of shops (nearly their whole downtown) -and I see a little more specialization.

We were there for their Christmas walk weekend, and we saw a store with quite a nice selection of art pottery (primarily Roseville), and of course right now "Retro" (i.e. 50s/60s/70s collectibles) are very hot.

Its only about 10-15 minutes from Lebanon - not hard to get to if you're interested.

That's Venice Pavilion Antiques in Ross. A pretty decent place. Take route 27 north toward Oxford and take the Ross exit.

Isn't Lebanon up off I-71 considered an antiquer's paradise too? Caesar's Creek flee market is up that direction as well.

Whenever I get back to Cincy, I always make a vist to the Duck Creek Antique Mall, and another mall type shop on the same side of Madison Rd near Brazee St. in Oakley.

Yeah I was up there a few weeks ago and went into 4 or 5. A few were decent and the rest were subpar in my opinion. Saw an old directory for Lebanon and it appears that quite a few of the antique shops that used to be there are no longer in operation.

Thanks for the advice, I'm going to have to check out Waynesville. Duck Creek in my opinion is the best antique mall in Cincinnati but it has seen its quality decline since the recession hit back in 07.
