Back in the day, the three big downtown camera shops were Ace, Provident and Jack's.

Now, it's only schlocky chains (I think)

Jacjs and Provident were my favorites. Today I buy from B&H or Amazon

I remember all of them, Provident was my favorite. I bought my first 35mm SLR there, a Canon T-70 that used just last week. Like Mike1003 I purchase online at B&H or Adorama.

Is there ab Independent Camera Store left in Cincinnati (or Greater Cincinnati)???

Roberts is still open in Indy

I'm not sure if Midwest is still open in Columbus
