How was your visit? Did you go to Skyline? Hope you had fun.

LOL...this will be one of my shortest posts ever...Awesomeo, you have lived up to your name---those shots are truly awesome! You captured the gritty feel of the neighborhoods, with some of the urban beauty that Cincinnati possesses...way to go!

I got a stomach virus the night before leaving. I worked 36 hours by Thursday, and was going to do a 6-10 on Friday and leave. I ended up calling off work Friday, and am making those 4 hours up this week. I was planning not going, but around 9 AM friday I decided to do it anyways.

I explored much of the city, but was sick the whole time. I would have loved to go out and have a few drinks and dinner on Mnt Adams, but that will be next time. I thought Mnt Adams looked like Shadyside here. It is all clean and nice. It is way better than Mnt. Washington in Pittsburgh. I loved Over the Rhine, but it needs regentification like many old historic neighborhoods across the country.

I did try skyline, because there was one literally next to my hotel. Not a good idea when your stomach is having trouble digesting even water.............However, it was unique and I would eat it again when not sick.

All in all, Cincy is awesome. I really liked it, and it was way cooler than I thought it would be. I will definately come back to Cincinnati. I wish it was the closest city in Ohio to Pittsburgh instead of the furthest.

Good to hear. Yeah Skyline is definately not what you want when you are feeling sick. In fact, even for locals it can give you.....um....how do i say this... some bathroom issues. But i'm suprised to hear you liked it, as most non Cincinnatians hate it. You came at a time when it happened to be cold, Cincy weather is weird. It was awesome on Sunday and then Monday it was cold and rainy for Opening Day.

Great pix. Bonus for the Times-Star building.

Double bonus for the row of houses a friend of mine had an apartment in way back in the early 80s! What are the odds ... LOL.

The first time I ever went to Mt. Adams I thought I was in Pittsburgh! Freaked me out ...

I also got this one, but didn't include it in the thread. It is a awesome building. I have many more photos of awesome buildings with great architecture that I didn't post. I wasn't happy with it, because it was sooooo hard to get a good shot of it on the tight downtown streets.

^^That's city hall. Much prettier on the outside.

Man, you caught a beautiful sunny day. Look at the color of that sky.
