Maybe cut through to Buffalo and the Northeast Corridor. God, that would be so hot.
honestly when i read stuff like that I think we really are a bit dorky at times on here, Density is sexy too

I seen the Dallas Logistics Hub in Lancaster, it looks like a bunch of distribution centers.

But as Danny said, Chicago is much further ahead and centrally located. Texas can only do so much
Well in the old days, the main benefit came from being in the center of the United States, which Chicago almost exactly mirrored. But in the new era and ever since Bill Clinton's NAFTA days, the idea is to be as centrally located in North America as possible and be on the lineage of trade with South America. Which is where both Dallas-Fort Worth & Houston have their major advantages.

If you look at a map, the locations for Dallas & Houston are almost centralized in coordination to North America & more easily accessible to South America (especially Houston).

It's a new era, and its a new hub. But both like I said have a extremely long way to go before they can see Chicago eye to eye. But both, as long as America's trading and commerce with Mexico & South American countries (especially Brazil) keep increasing will play a larger role for Dallas & especially Houston. More so than any other city in our country.

+ 1, for sure. This decade for Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Kansas City, & Indianapolis is all about improving and creating successful logistical centers.

The future of trade is in the Gulf & Pacific. Asia & Latin America are our largest (and rising) trade partners in the modern era. Logistically, that's what puts Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Bay Area, Miami, & Atlanta on the map. And almost all will benefit from the new NAFTA plans.

Yeah the articles list many benefits.

They said the Ports of LA and Long Beach sees a lot of container traffic but the road systems from there are congested, so a big advantage would be the road systems from Houston. So LA/LB is another target that Dallas is setting its sights on.

They mentioned that Texas has some of the best highway infrastructure in the US, and That DFW's central location would be a great way to exploit that.

We are already taking truckloads of your hippies, we might as well take truck loads of your container shipments too.

This explains why Tower 55 is a top priority for Fort Worth.
