As someone not from NYC, I expected to run up against the rude, abrasive New Yorker the first time I visited. I found nothing of the sort. Folks were courteous and helpful.
Maybe NYC is rude compare to the rest of the US (except Miami ) but maybe it is the most courteous compared to the rest of the world
As a french I can say people are really rude in Paris.

Hahahaha New York number 1. The only other one I can really comment on is Toronto which should definitely be higher up than NYC.
