I was too lazy to post photos earlier but found some really good zoom in shots of skyscrapers with more dimensions, colors, and details. I love crowns, clock towers, spires, anything but the pure industrial concrete and steel look of the Empire State, and the cubist ones like the Sears/Willis tower in Chicago. Here are some good ones zoomed in to the crowns. ...

Chicago: Chicago has some spectcular ones but I love the art decco aspirations of the Wrigley building, very classy building.

Yeah we have similar likes and dislikes in buildings.
I think you hit my favorites in those cities. Only ones I don't like are Trans America and Capella.

I do like crowns, Clock Towers and spires too.

Saw some cool ones in Chicago. One of my favorites that I see often though, is the Bell South (maybe a different name now) building in Nashville.

And here we have the delightfully gimmicky saucer buildings, Space Needle being the original from the 1962 World's Fair (attended by JFK and Elvis). It was a building ahead of its time a lot of people thought it was bizarre in the 60's. It looks like a Jetson House but ironically fits beautifully into the Seattle skyline as its signature landmark.

San Antonio

Calgary

If someone has all the pics, we need a best space needle thread. IMO, it's a toss up between seattle and toronto.

might not qualify as a "skyscraper" but definitely my favorite:

Eastern Columbia, LA:

Some more blue buildings from the 20s/30s
I love turquoise art deco... mmmmm...

If only someone had built a really tall building with turquoise terra cotta cladding..

I always liked the CN tower in Toronto Really helps to liven up an otherwise bland skyline.
