Savannah is the only one I have been to, it is a place I could happily live. As far as living goes I can't comment on the other two because I haven't been to them.
To visit: Savannah, Charleston, Wilmington. I would like to visit all three.
From a tourist perspective, Wilmington is nice but honestly it doesn't compare to Charleston and Savannah at all and the numbers reflect that.
As a place to live, that's more subjective but Charleston is the most all-around livable IMO.
I would tend to agree with this. If you're going to Wilmington for the same kind of historical experience you find in Charleston and Savannah, then you will be disappointed. However, it is a beautiful city in its own right with some of the best beaches in the country surrounding it, so I think most everyone that visits likes it.

Okay...my opinion is different. Historical tourism isn't as big (but does exist), but the beaches in Wilmington are much better and more popular than Charleston or Savannah. My comment was just that people overlook Wilmington as a historical port city. Is that okay? I wasn't looking for rebuttal - it's just an opinion.

I know your opinion is different and you have every right to express it. And I have every right to express mine in relation to yours; no biggie.
I'm not sure if the beaches in Wilmington are more popular than those in Charleston or Savannah at all, plus Wilmington is hampered by competition with Myrtle. But it does provide a different sort of experience.
