Chicago right now. But it's hard to compete against a city that produced Julius Erving, Lou Alcindor, Connie Hawkins, and World B. Free.

Voted NYC for historical reasons.

Today though NYC is not producing NBA talent like Los Angeles, Chicago & the DMV are. Seattle is also surprisingly strong.

Chicago is lucky with Derrick Rose but this should really be between Philly and New York. With stars like Kobe and Wilt, it would be interesting to see what places can rival Philly on hoop talent. In the present I agree with LA and DC rising

Oh no no. Chicago definitely has an argument. They didn't make Preps: Chicago hoops for nothing. They didn't have hoop dreams for nothing.

Derrick Rose is only one out of SEVERAL! Dwyane Wade and Isaiah Thomas also hail from Chicago. Shawn Marrion, Jeff Hornacek and Michael Finley are also from Chicago. Even Kevin Garnett played a year at Farragut Academy, though I wouldnt consider him a product of Chicago.

New York may have the edge historically but as of the last 30 years Chicago wins.
