Personally it is difficult for me to imagine that Philly would 10% of the top 100 list - while there is good food here I think other places would probably be more deserving of more on the list for this styling

Also; Stockton with 4, it does have good chinese food.
other oddity; A1 Super Buffet, Arlington Texas......Ive not been, but would be very sceptical. Theres a million chinese buffets here in DFW and Ive yet to have one be very good.
The two restaurants they listed in Portland are actually pretty good. Ocean City Seafood in the new Chinatown area over on 82nd---and is a legitimate Hong Kong-style seafood place that's really popular with Chinese families for dim sum that I go to pretty often. However, Frank's Noodle House, which I go to lunch and is right by my work, is good--however it's really a Korean-Chinese restaurant. I mean they serve the lunch specials with kimchi on the side along with having both Korean and Chinese dishes on the menu. It's a good place for fresh made noodles, though it's neither the best Chinese nor Korean restaurant in town.
The rest of the places in Oregon sound a little suspicious. Maybe they're slightly higher quality American-Chinese food or maybe they just paid to be on the list. Who knows? The restaurants listed for the Seattle area don't even include anything in Seattle itself or Bellevue. I've been to a couple of the restaurants listed for the Bay Area--though I can think of about ten different Chinese restaurants better than those. And do they really not list anything for the San Gabriel Valley?
It's just a list though--no big deal really... The fact that they have American-Chinese buffets in places like Idaho Falls as being among the top 100 Chinese restaurants is pretty funny...
I'm pretty sure all the restaurants on this list paid to be on this list. Most of the places on this list don't even serve Chinese food, but that Americanized sorta-Chinese flavored high calorie/high sodium fried crap people mistake for Chinese food.
They list the methodology, so I don't think these were paid rankings. But you can't discount a restaurant passing out cards and telling people to vote for them (since the secret reviewer only makes part of the rankings). Americanized sorta-Chinese isn't prevented from winning. Authenticity was not one of the criteria. I have a hard time believing that they're good enough to win, but we do overuse the fallacy that authentic is automatically better.

Han Dynasty is going to be on the Philadelphia episode of Anthony Bourdain's The Layover, btw.
I can't imagine any way that the Philadelphia area would have 10% of the list. I've never tried the suburban places. I'm a bit skeptical, though. I'd rather look at something reliable like Zagat.
Philadelphia has a very good (and often under-appreciated) Chinatown, but I still don't think it deserve to be at the absolute top of the list. Top 5, perhaps.

Now the above might sound elitist, but it really isn't. This list being stacked with so many fake Chinese restaurants immediately makes it irrelevant. It's as if there was a poll done for the best Italian restaurants and Olive Garden ranked #4. I'd immediately start looking elsewhere.

Crab Rangoon was invented stateside, but Egg Foo Young actually is authentic Chinese (although they way they serve it in Western countries certainly is not).
The two in Mass listed are sticky corn starch filled gloppy American Chinese joints. One of them even has more of a faux Polynesian theme to it. Pretty terrible list.
This list is an embarrassment for those of us that are Chinese.

Nah, I agree it's far from perfect. Some of the Philadelphia-area restaurants are worthy of inclusion, although there are also some notable omissions (and odd additions).
