Four highly conversed seasonal destinations, often times due to leaves changing and climate being at it's best for outdoors. Perhaps at times, maybe even the sports seasons at their peaks could play a factor, contributing to seasonal culture.
I suppose factor in seasonal events, climate, precipitation, vegetation, sports seasons, or just general charming or relaxing feel and state which of the four sounds most appealing to you and which one least.
Miami winters for me. The weather in Miami during the winter is perfect and that is the very reason why snow bird flock to South Florida every year during this season.
Chicago summers can be very hot followed by heat-waves.
DC love the cherry blossoms that appear in March.
Boston and the rest of New England has beautiful foilage during autumn.
Miami has picture perfect weather with very little humidity during winter months.
MIA for the win and Chicago sorry hometown but you're dead last in this thread!
I'm shocked, for once you're not being a home... Oh wait
No, actually I'm telling it like it is. Chicago's not even my favorite city in the US (and hence the world. I'd say it's probably #3 or #4 for cities I've visited), but thanks for playing. I've experienced all of these things before and they're all good, but for pure things to do, which is what I look for instead of just sitting on my ass all day (I've only been two places in the world where this was totally fine, and neither were in the US) - Chicago wins.
If we are just talking about only weather, then it's different. Perhaps I'd choose a winter in Miami, but then for someone it would depend on where they're coming from. Someone coming from any of the southern states wouldn't really be amazed by that. What happens in Miami in the winter is not too much different than the rest of the year. The weather is obviously better if you're coming from a colder climate, but to me this thread is not just about weather.
Autumn in the NE is quite nice and beautiful- I'd rather experience autumn in New England in the mountains and the country rather than the city of Boston. I've visited DC in Spring bunches of times and it didn't impress me. It was kind of nice but nothing out of the ordinary to me.
So again, from a "things to do" standpoint, Chicago wins and the weather is pretty good around that time too. If you are just talking about escaping to find better weather, then I'd choose Miami during the winter.

Autumn in Boston. Favorite season plus my hometown.
Summer in Chicago. It can be brutal sometimes but there is so much to do that I never get the dulldrums.
Winter in Miami. Its just a nice break from northern winters.
Spring in DC. Ive only been once and there was a freak cold spell. Ill definitely give it another go.
