Don't forget that there's also an 802' tower under construction half a block away from Salesforce (which will be topped off before Salseforce appears on the skyline), and there's a 915' tower proposed half a block away in the other direction too. And on the other side of the transbay terminal from salesforce, there's another site zoned for 750' (to the roof, not including crown/spire) that will be getting proposals soon. So Salesforce won't be the only tower breaking up the skyline tabletop in SF.
Pasadena's Old Town is getting a northern expansion, thanks to a massive one-million-square-foot mixed-use project slated for an underused site around the large, white Parsons tower off Fair Oaks. The*Pasadena Star-Newsreports*that the project will bring new restaurants, office space, and 475 housing units to the 22-acre site...nicknamed*100 West Walnut, the development is supposed to bring "2,100 new jobs, $1 million a year in general fund revenue, $15 million in transportation improvements and $250 million in wages," says a rep for developer Lincoln Property Company.
Honestly, I'm way more excited about this stadium and about LAFC in general than I am for the Inglewood NFL stadium plans and the prospect of the Rams coming to LA.
That doesn't necessarily mean it has the most going on, though, just that its forumers are all active posters. There are a few cities with a lot going, one could argue even more than Philly, with forumers who just aren't as active on that site for a variety of reasons.

I've also noticed LA and Chicago posters are very active on SSP.
I've noticed that NYC, LA, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Houston, Seattle, Miami, DC, and Boston all have a TON going on.
I would say NYC, LA, Philadelphia and San Francisco currently have the most significant projects going on all with a Supertall under construction and NYC with multiple. Chicago and Miami have potential Supertall construction as well.
Smaller cities like Milwaukee, Nashville, Charlotte, Austin, Pittsburgh, etc. seem to have a lot going on relative to their size as well.
Appears the United States is now nearly back to where it left off pre-2008 housing bubble collapse. Similar trends. Similar hotspots. Similar price point escalations. Similar outward/inward migratory trends. So on.
Things are slowly moving again for Hampton Roads... A big stadium's going to be underway this fall in Virginia Beach, Virginia Beach is going to start to get Light Rail, they're finally starting to move forward on the preliminary stuff for another very-much-needed bridge-tunnel over the Harbor, and next year the new Midtown Tunnel in Norfolk will be completed. Speaking of the Harbor, not only has the Port of Virginia started making profits again, but they've started breaking their own records again in TEU volume, they're working on new wharves that'll double the Port's capacity, and the local governments in the area are finally starting to find ways to diversify the local economy, realizing that the military can't buoy the local economy forever. The recent addition of a couple culinary schools to the area has started to make its mark, as new and increasingly-experimental restaurants have started popping up. The craft beer and microbrewery scene in the area is in the process of utterly exploding.
Basically, things are starting to take shape... Things are definitely starting to happen.
