It's also noteworthy that a majority of commuters from Newark, Jersey City, and Oakland are commuting to larger city (N.Y. or SF), pushing Seattle, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore into the top 10.

Yeah. The walk and cycle numbers matter.

I’d also be curious as to what percentage of workers’ commute is 100% mass transit vs park-and-ride.

Bus ridership, which is the majority of mass transit in LA, took a hard dip since it suffers from the same insane traffic woes as cars do, but with the added negative of a bunch of stops and no point to point or reroute if a stretch of road randomly goes to hell in regards to traffic. This makes rideshare a lot more competitive. LA’s trying to recitfy some of this by having a stronger rail backbone to build off of, but it’s not doing it fast enough.

Do LA busses stop on every corner? For the life of me, I don't know why cities don't space bus stops every four blocks.

Has anyone been able to quantify the most recent ride share and taxi numbers in these same cities or at least the top 20? It would be great to see a cumulative number of all modes of transit.
