I'd say Boston. More diversity in it's offerings. Italian food in the North End, numerous Caribbean food spots, Spanish (dominican and puerto Rican) restaurants, cape verdean/Portuguese restaurants and Greek restaurants also. I'm probably missing some more since I don't live in Boston.

I'd have to think the food would be fresher in Boston. Nearby farms and especially the seafood. I could be mistaken though.

Even in the winter though, with all the cold weather and snow?

Would high end dining be preferential in Vegas?

there arent many farms in Massachusetts at all- soil too rocky and cold. Seafood isnt eaten that often as you would think but its available in trendier areas

I can see the argument for Vegas (fine dining, Mexican, Filipino, etc.), but for me Id much rather prefer the Boston scene.

I voted for Las Vegas because many famous chefs and restauranteurs have a Vegas outpost-the result is genuinely good food. But that's more for special occasions and weekend getaways.

For everyday life, going out, trying new places, authentic ethnic cuisine etc. An actual dining scene I'd go with Boston.

Filipino food sounds good right about now

Las Vegas for fine dining. Boston for most other categories. That would be me quick assessment, but am not familiar enough with the LV dining scene outside of the obvious mega-casino fine dining options.
