Best Performing US Cities Of 2013 - Business Insider

Can't say I'm too surprised by the list with a few exceptions. No surprise at the top however.

Not a chance!

Non-coastal cities just don't have the location nor pizzaz to make America more competitive worldwide. Denver jobs might help Denver but it can't provide the same international push that NYC or SF can.

And what does housing cost really have to do with a ranking about 'driving the future'? That's the only reason SF is not number 1.

This would be true if boats were still the primary means of transportation, but now there are airplanes that can go pretty much anywhere for B2B travel.
