We've all seen these best and worst lists. People who frequent this board are probably more in tune with what's hit and what's not, but do you think the general public pays any attention to these lists or is it just noise?

Unless the area they live in is mentioned, I think the average person couldn't care less.

I think the same kind of people who follow the Kardashians (or in the past, Paris Hilton) are the same kind of people who give a rat's *** about "best/worst" lists.

It's usually just sensationalist tabloid garbage. About the same level of relevance as Honey Boo-Boo or Pawn Storage Wars.

As well, I hope not. A list can be made to make any point or give credence to any agenda one may have. Many, not all, but many are plain krapp. Figures lie and liars figure.

Oh, this just out: Top 5 cities in which to raise a family:

1. E St Louis, IL
2. Detroit
3. Gary, IN
4. Inglewood, CA
5. Flint, MI

I'm sure this could be validated by applying certain metrics.
