Villanova has to be admired for running an elite basketball program. Its a small , private, Catholic university who holds its players to very high academic standards. Which is a rarity among the big power schools.

Villanova has 1 less National Championship than perennial powerhouses Kansas and Louisville.

Villanova gets point not Philly!! It was a great game, I like seeing the small schools win. Closest thing on the west coast is Gonzaga, but they need more of them to make powerhouse leagues besides the Pac12.

Closest Philly will get to a major title.........for a whileeeeeee......

If you lived in Philly you'd understand that for us Villanova is a very Philadelphia institution. It's part of our local DNA. Not being physically within the city limits doesn't matter with this championship. There's going to be a parade for them this coming Friday in the city.

Apparently, Philly homers will go on forever about their great, gritty downtown and city with its poverty and crime, desolate slums, and non-functional local government. Sure it's better than the 80's when the whole city looked like a third world country. If it were so great, rents wound not be so cheap. Third best downtown in the USA? What a presumptuous crock of BS. "Team Philly" needs a reality check.

Much more of that non-functional government is going on Harrisburg. PA government is a mess. Definitely.

While it has its challenges, at least you can step out on the streets of Philly without getting human s**t on your sneakers: Map shows S.F.’s human poop on the streets - SFGate Blog

Classy place, SF.

Have you been to downtown SF? It's not **** and span, and it costs a much heftier price for smaller scale and/or local people to do anything. I am about to see the two within two months span of each other. It's a vacation of sorts for me, but I am not expecting SF's downtown to be particularly polished.

stale;

1. Harbor Garage/Don Chiofaro/Prudential 56 stories BRA rendered guidelines for 600'/900,000. thus ending the 2 tower idea. Chiofaro/Pru team say they need 1.1~1.2M sq ft w/ single 600' tower to proceed. Harbor/city/state process is implacable.

1 Bromfield St/Midwood Development 59 stories 735'....
here's the first render for what might become Boston's 5th tallest.

Classy place, SF.
There was also the completely laughable exaggerated remark that the "whole city(Philly) looked like a 3rd world country" at one point in time.
