With Census estimates being published soon, I thought it would be fun to start guessing what some populations will be. I'll start with my two cities proper:

Raleigh: 2015 estimate was 451,066. My guess for 2016 is 460,750. It will pass Virginia Beach in the upcoming estimate by 5,000+ people.

Miami: 2015 estimate was 441,003. My guess for 2016 is 449,250. It may or may not pass Omaha but I suspect that the two cities will be within a 1000 of each other one way or the other.

If Monroe County lost population I really don't think the City gained population.
Rochester will probably be near 208,000.

I think Boston will pass Detroit
Boston: 673,000
Detroit 671,000

I think Cincinnati will hit 300,000.
Nashville (664,000) will pass Memphis (657,000)

No doubt on this one. Both cities are massive in land area but Nashville has both more land and a much stronger economy. Expect Nashville to put distance on Memphis each year going forward.

Estimates were off last decade, but that is a good point. I'd say 144,000 for Syracuse and 102,000 for Albany.

how about if according to the Census Monroe County lost population the census is unlikely to report that Rochester gained.

Rochester hasn't posted a gain since before 1960. Trends show slowing declines. Have estimates shown a year over year gain in the last few years?
