GA vs AL, which is better, which would you rather live? Can make it one city over another, state over state, big city, small town, job growth, crime, whatever matters most.

Use whatever criteria YOU choose to endorse or criticize whichever place. At least make it interesting, don't just say well Georgia has Atlanta end of story....

Not a fair comparison other than Alabama and South Crolina. Mississippi ranks below both states in most major statistical categories and Georgia is much more comparable to North Carolina, Virginia and Michigan.

Not sure what state wide statistics have to do with an individual decision to live somewhere.

Most people make decisions where to live based on things like climate, if they got a job offer, cost of living, etc.

But you knew when you created this thread this was gonna be the case, so why’d you do it?

GA essentially has everything Alabama has but Alabama doesn’t necessarily have everything GA has. Same goes for SC and MS. Birmingham is the closest thing to Atlanta in this comparison and it is a fantastic city that is finally starting to get the attention, investing, and redevelopment it needs to stay competitive in the face of some very stiff competition in its region.

SC has Charleston, which is a huge draw both for domestic and overseas tourist. SC also is home to a good bit of Charlotte’s suburbs. Also, Greenville is a very quaint and vibrant city and Myrtle Beach is there too.

MS has probably the best collection of small towns (Tupelo, Hattiesburg, Oxford, Starkville, Meridian etc) of the bunch. But Jackson, Biloxi, and Southaven pale in comparison to Savannah, Huntsville, Columbia and Mobile.

This comparison is so lopsided, pitting a state of 10.5 million against states of 3, 5, and 4.8 million. You want us to bash our neighbors. I’m not falling for that trick though I’m sure some from outside of the region will give you what you want.

None of the above. I'd stay in NC before I'd even consider one of those states.

Ok glad you felt compelled for such a pointless post. Weird you pointed out that I said base it on YOUR opinion, then proceeded to point out all the stats about city size, growth rate, think its bait to 'bash your neighbors'....????

Well you make no sense at all, maybe you should find anothe thread to pursue, or something else to do all together.
