This is industry agnostic, and solely comparing cities and their commitment and support of small business owners.

Both are located in what I would consider 2 of the best business friendly states. I personally don’t think one is better than the other for entrepreneurs but since I live in Atlanta I love the entrepreneur spirit of the city and the support for minority owned businesses. There’s a real community here for entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs.

It depends where you’re at on your journey. If you’re just starting off, Atlanta’s lower COL will be very appealing. If you’re making a good income, no taxes in Miami will be attractive.

Atlanta seem easier to network make friends. Miami felt more who's who status type crowd. I would probably be overlooked in Miami as a young business professional. Current and future FL state laws would probably limit my potential as well.

It depends.

If you're looking to open a small business, I think both cities are great.

If you're asking me which city is better equipped to support a company that has aspirations of becoming a $20MM+ annual sales company? Atlanta hands down.

ATL has better access for companies to raise capital & network regardless of industry.

I voted Atlanta because real estate in Miami is just ridiculous in trying to get into

Miami's immediate sphere of influence does not extend much further than the city limits for most entrepreneurs with cities like Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach/Boca Raton sitting just to the north. Atlanta lays claim as a regional hub with influence stretching to Birmingham AL, Chattanooga TN and Macon GA. That's a huge swath of geography.

As a black man I am picking Atlanta. I am also Haitian American and would still pick Atlanta.
