Vancouver has gorgeous mountains to the north. You can see three lit ski areas at night in the winter. The skyline is moot. Nobody looks at the buildings. They look at the sea to sky view.

Vancouver's skyline is the defintion of putting quantity over quality. Got Boston for this. The nature views in Vancouver are awesome tho

Boston is bigger but its uglier. Lots of big lumpy buildings downtown.

I'll take a million skinny residentials over a relatively small number of fat office towers anyday.

And what Vancouver skyline? There are many.

Vancouver, and it's not even close. And a huge bonus for the sheer amount of residential towers and the stunning natural setting.

I think short video does a better job of showing Boston/Cambridge skyline together. It doesn’t get the seaport. The development boom around new biotech lab buildings which generally don’t go above 350 ft, proximity of downtown to airport, and generally height averse residents have limited how tall skyline is.
Not a huge fan of the monotony of the buildings that make up vanc skyline but enjoy the landscape.

Vancouver is underwhelming/very monotonous architecturally--honestly one of my least favorite skylines in North America.

Boston is underwhelming in terms of height.

I'm still going with Boston, as it undoubtedly has more memorable and prettier signature towers.

Vancouver (Quantity) vs. Quality (Boston)

In isolation, Boston is imo "better" but if you include the surrounding scenery/vista that Vancouver's has it takes the cake.
