I dont think a million dollars is much in either place. I suppose it'd buy you a decent condo in NY or SM.. but you wont get anything out of the ordinary, will you. My choice is Los Angeles, it always is. New York is fun to visit, but I dont think I could live there.

Los Angeles

They're both full of shallow people but at least LA isn't in denial.

I think I'd buy a place in both cities. I'd live 8 months out of the year in New York, and spend winter in LA.

NYC has a vibrant urban street scene

LA (actually the entire West outside of Seattle & Portland) is like a giant suburb w/o a city

Is this thread a joke? Can a mod please merge this tired topic into one thread?

How many NYC vs LA threads does this forum need?

Look at this for your answer:

Most people will say NYC so you're wasting your time!!

FYI, a million dollars will get you into a tiny studio or a one bedroom in Manhattan. But, I would still rather live in NYC than Los Angeles.

LOL these threads are so much fun, but people who have a "Problem" with threads like this shouldn't go to these threads then

Perhaps this can be merged..

But I would pick NYC of course. A studio apartment for a million dollars?? Perhaps a 1 bedroom, a 2 bedroom can be acquired for a mill.

But still too expensive especially those high rises.
Most people do say NYC anyways that is right.

But Manhattan is where I want to live .
