Tampa FL vs. Dallas TX (better, place, life, moving)

Help! If I can't convince my husband that he's super talented and could probably get another job within seconds after being in IT for 10 years, our lives will be uprooted to either Tampa FL or Dallas TX. I could use any sort of input, pro's or con's about the two areas. To me Dallas looks like it has more of a city life and Tampa looks like a big armpit....

Dallas has a lot more to offer than Tampa Bay. You can get a big city feel in Dallas or a small town feel in a big city in Fort Worth. DFW offer a wide range of ammenties that Tampa Bay does not offer.

I interviewed for a job in Dallas, did not get that job and wound up moving to Tampa the next year for another job. I seriously wondered if I was being punished by having to move to Tampa for messing up on my job interview in Dallas.

But seriously, I will say that Tampa is by the gulf and the beaches and winter weather are fantastic. However, if you're wanting more of a big city experience and are willing to sacrifice some natural beauty, Dallas is a good place to be. Houses are cheaper and salaries are better.
