I like both, but I'm going with Minneapolis because of some of its great buildings such as the Wells Fargo, Capella, Cambell Mithun, 50 South Sixth, and LaSalle Plaza.
Boston has the third highest quality of life in the nation, after Honolulu and San Fran, but who's counting?
I have nothing against Minneapolis and Minnesota ('cept Michelle Bachman) but it ain't no Boston.
The cost of living in those cities is through the roof. In Minneapolis someone with a blue collar job can afford to buy a house in a neighborhood that isn't a slum. Try that in Boston, San Francisco or Honolulu. This creates a degree of social justice that doesn't exist in the big cities on the coasts.
The ratio of pay to cost of living is strongly in Minneapolis' favor. It has a coastal pay scale with Midwestern prices. I say this from experience. I am a chef, financially I live better here than I would in any of the places you mentioned; and probably better than most other places in the country.

How can Minneapolis possibly be winning this? There skyline IMO is Pathetic compared to bosto...
Could be because they don't all share your opinion.
