Slow-paced cities vs. Fast-paced cities? (life, people, pros, cons)

Which one do you prefer? And why?

I think there are positive/negatives with each. Fast paced cities tend to have a coolness to them, while slower paced cities are more easy going. So I say both.

I guess I prefer the fast paced city since I've been around NYC all my life its what I'm used to and I just need things fast. But I definitely enjoy taking trips to slower paced cities as I see it as a break from the norm and much more relaxing

Tough call, like Colts says there are pros and cons. I guess, so long as it wasn't too slow, I'd go with a slower pace. Less stress, traffic accidents, road rage and that awful feeling of holding someone up who's making it obvious you're not doing whatever it is your doing fast enough. Then again, not so slow that you have to wait 1/2 an hour for your dinner at a restaurant that isn't even busy.

Slow...I like to stop and smell the roses....something I've learned more about as I near 60.
I wanted fast paced too, then about 50 years old I went? WHY??? WHAT FOR??? who wants to be in traffic jams, dirty air, rude people,constant noise, no parking anywhere, Not me, I'd rather get in my vehicle and drive down the road 2 miles and look at the peach farms and buy some peaches. Yep there's something to be said, about slowing down and enjoying life.
