Lived in Atlanta and Nashville. For settling down, Nashville wins hands down over Atlanta. The quality of life is just a lot better. I hear Charlotte is nice too though I've never been.

I voted Nashville.

Yes it is. Well at least Miami Beach is. You never really see the city of MIAMI on TV, every time they talk about Miami on TV it's usually about Miami BEACH. And Miami Beach is exactly how it is portrayed on TV.

And that is YOUR opinion. I am glad you admitted it. However, Atlanta, Austin, and Charlotte all have metros with higher numerical growth than Raleigh since the 2000 census. Yes, Raleigh does have the highest percentage of growth in the Nation. Just know that Atlanta, Austin, and Charlotte adds more people.

You assume that everyone thinks alike or wants the same things in a city. Personally I prefer more of a big city atmosphere, and Raleigh still has a ways to go in this department. It's got a bright future ahead of it, but it still has some work to do.
