I don't really think that anyone wants to go to Biloxi, simply because it's in Mississippi. Who would?

Biloxi beaches run rings around AC beaches? You must be dreaming, not in this lifetime.

Atlantic City has problems, I know, but who goes into the inner AC neighborhoods to enjoy themselves?

AC's Waterfront, boardwalk, and location tops Biloxi in my opinion.

I've never been to AC, but it seems to me that people underestimate the Gulf Coast simply because they see the name Mississippi or even because it's in the south. It's actually a nice area and to whoever posted that they were there in 1999, that was a long time and 1 hurricane ago. A lot has changed. As far as entertainment, if you're looking for big ticket events or ok bars then the casinos have it covered. If you want to be able to club, party hard, and drink liquor on the street, then New Orleans is 40 minutes west.

I really don't know what all Atlantic City has to offer, but Biloxi is basically the "mini-strip" on the beach. It's the 3rd gaming spot in the U.S. so it's not that bad.

Try about 10-12 million visitors a year.

Not only is your bias showing, I doubt seriously if you have ever set foot in the South, let alone Mississippi.

I don't care if my bias is showing. Why would I want to experience nightlife in Mississippi? I really don't want to be starring in My Cousin Vinny 2 or Deliverance 2.

I have lived in the South before and loved it. There is this place named Dallas, Texas that was great. Mississsippi? LMFAO, not so much.

I try to remember not to criticize a place if I haven't actually been there. I've been to both cities, and Biloxi is a much cleaner, nicer, safer place to be. Atlantic City known for being blighted and poverty-stricken. The only advantage AC has is a handful more casinos than Biloxi...and I'm not even sure that advantage is still true in 2009.

It is in Mississippi. I don't want to hang out with Bubba and be in My Cousin Vinny 2.

Biloxi is cleaner as a city. However, this was about casinos. The casinos area and beach areas are fine for safety. But, it's when you stray away is when it gets bad.

Honestly, I think Mississippi would lose to the new Hard Rock hotel in Hollywood, which is a burb of Miami. Not many people want to go to Mississippi.

with the choice of new orleans and biloxi, i'd just go to new orleans... MUCH better night life, it isn't even worth comparing, much better food, plus they have a harrah's along with several casino boats which is nicer and has a classier crowd than anything in biloxi. I just don't see the draw unless you are from mississippi or alabama maybe west tennessee and driving down for the weekend. If you are going STRICTLY to gamble then I could see how it would pass, yes you can gamble there. But for a weekend trip? no way. When I go to places like this I want the full entertainment package and Biloxi just doesn't offer that.

The casinos in Biloxi are better than any casino in Louisiana period, except maybe Harrahs.
