lets compare the two, Mississippi and New Mexico are some of the poorest states in the country.

Albuquerque has over 500,000 in the city limit population while Jackson has around 200,000. If the two cities were the same size who would have the larger skyline, ABQ beats them now but if Jackson was the size of ABQ would they have around the same size skyline. Mississippi and New Mexico are some of the poorest states in the country.

Albuquerque-

Jackson-

Maybe those are bad pictures, because I dont' see a skyline in either pictures? It looks like a regular part of the city?

Bad pictures. You have to catch the Jackson skyline from the right angle. You get an amazing view of it from the freeway overpasses at I-55, I-22 interchange.

Albuquerque should only be compared to those its size. It is on America's largest 50 as 34. Jackson is not..even on the list.. nor close.

I know, but Im comparing the skylines, if Jackson was the size of ABQ would it have the same size of skyline.

Yeah - I think that Albuquerque needs a much bigger skyline for a city of over 500,000 in the city limits, and about 850,000 (close to a million) people in the metro area.

Either there's not a market for highrises there, or investors are missing a great opportunity there (of course the opportunity will be better when the economy bounces back completely).

yeah its been 20 years since they had a highrise built, I guess 20 years ago it was easier to get things done or they actually had half a brain then to actually build up.

There are many things I love about ABQ, but the skyline isn't one of them. They seriously need to build taller buildings.

But I think it looks really pretty at night
