Since we all know murder rate by state and city....does anyone know where to find or have a statistic that breaks down the murder rate for each county of each state....I think this may be something nobody has researched b4...no?

Using Cleveland.com I know for sure there was 120 homicides in the city, and I counted 20 for Cuyahoga county suburbs. So that would be 140 for a population of 1,283,925, or 10.9/100,000 people. Cleveland Has around 438,000 people, so 120 would be a rate of 27.3. So as you can tell, when you include the suburbs, Cleveland becomes a much safer area. And at the bottom of my post is a link showing that Cleveland had 120 homicides.
^^^^right thats exactly what I was referring to but it seems like its alot trying to find that info unless there was sometime of consolidated list somewhere

Well I guess that could work, but I'm not sure if 2.3 per 100,000 is all that bad even by European standards. Although I'm having a bit of trouble finding recent rates for European cities.
In the 1990s San Diego was apparently more murderous than now, but less murderous than Lisbon, Portugal or Helsinki, Finland and comparable to Amsterdam.
DEATH BY MURDER - This site seems iffy, but an article I saw on the BBC supports his rates on European cities in the 1990s.
San Diego would be better than Scotland and Finland as a whole so presumably Scottish and Finnish cities are worse than San Diego.
there was 69 murders in San Diego County last year for a population of over 3 million, thats pretty unsafe
Prince George's County, MD has about 873K people and last year it had about 90 murders. So far this year it has 16.
