Hi,

My husband and I are moving from Miami to Cleveland. We have to kids, starting 4th and 7th grade. We would like to know when do classes begin for the period 2010-2011, we know that it is a little different over there, also where we can find the suggested "summer reading list 2010"

Thanks in advance...

For you I'd suggest 'Crooked River Burning' by Mark Winegardner. Fictionalized novel about CLE, but historically it is fairly accurate. Entertaining to say the least.
Classes generally start at the end of Aug, beginning of Sep, depending on the school system/city you select.
Welcome to CLE.

What school district will be moving to?

Off the top of my head, I know the Cleveland Public Library has a summer reading club Cleveland Public Library | Summer Reading Club 2010

Also, it sounds like you'd be interested in some good educational stuff. Whenever you get time, i'd recommend ahowing your kids:

Great Lakes Science Center Great Lakes Science Center
Cleveland Museum of Natural History Home Page
Cleveland Botanical Gardens Visit Cleveland Botanical Garden
Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Cleveland Metroparks Zoo
USS Cod Submarine USS COD HOMEPAGE
"Bodies" Exhibit Downtown http://www.bodiestheexhibition.com/cleveland/

Whoa, that's quite a distance (about 30 miles apart).

Where will you and/or your husband be working? That'll affect where you'll be living.
